Dr.Barbara Bellar -Finally a Candidate you can Believe In!
Posted on April 20, 2012 at 11:59 pm

It is a privilege to invite you to my blog as your Senate Candidate for the 18th District which I am glad to say includes Oak Lawn. I humbly and sincerely want to thank all the voters that came out and supported me to win the primary election by 74% of the votes. Now I invite you to follow me as we journey together on our pathway to victory! Our victory to restoring pride in Illinois, creating jobs, fostering business development and reducing taxes. It is a novel idea but the fact is I am a Candidate you can finally believe in! For decades now we have had political positions that were filled with people who have their own self-interest in mind, period, and now they are lifelong politicians. I am a citizen legislator, who will serve with integrity. I am no one’s puppet, no one owns me, so I can just do the right thing. Please dialogue with me as over the weeks, I present the issues that effect you and your family and the realistic solutions. There is no reason why the Land of Lincoln cannot once again be the Land of Economic Opportunity! We have all the resources; reknown university systems, waterway access for import and export, a great railroad network, fertile soil for agriculture and corn production, and coal mining to name a few. Our best resource is our Illinois citizens, the hard-working upright citizens of the 18th District. The past poor policy choices have laid an undue, unfair and irresponsible burden on these citizens. That is why we have been losing residents in Illinois at the rate of one every 10 minutes. Folks are fleeing to neighboring states where they can make a living and raise a family. Illinois can regain the position it once had as an economic leader. We just need to change our current ill-directed leaders. You have a chance to do this with the upcoming Novermber election, vote for Dr. Bellar, a candidate you can finally believe it. It is time to prescribe the cure for the ill in Illinois,  by ending the fiscal mismanagement and adopting sensible spending and all-around accountability.

As an honorable discharged Major in the U.S. Army Reserves, I am humbled to wish “Happy Veteran’s Day” to all who serve in any capacity to continue to assure we have FREEDOM in these United States of America.
I can assure you when I am serving in elected office I will be paying close attention to the needs of all our Men and Women who will be returning from their service time. The needs will be gr…eat both legally, financially and especially for JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. Not to mention these service folks now having to secure medical care, health insurance, provide for families, re-employment and some disability needs. As an attorney, a physician, a veteran, my radar is up for veteran’s and we will all work together for a better America still!
